Our certified 5K certified run/walk winds its way through the heart of small town America with the purpose of supporting cancer patients as their hero.
Named in honor of Jessica Froelick who lost her battle with breast cancer at the age of 34 leaving behind her family and friends. This run/walk recognizes the hero within each of us. Jessica was the epitome of the compassionate advocate for cancer survivors like herself. She supported others going through treatment in every way she could - through fundraisers, benefits, volunteering, and lending assistance wherever she was needed.
She was a source of strength and grace and will always be missed.
This run/walk is our way of honoring her example - as her heroes. We transform into everyday heroes each time we act out of love, showing courage in the face of overwhelming fear by holding a hand, offering comfort, and assuring our support.

For Survivors, those battling cancer, and those who battled but are no longer with us.
This year we will be honoring survivors and those who have battled cancer, whether they are here or not with a very special ceremony. Please share your name with us or your loved one so that we can honor them by speaking their name and ringing a bell. These individuals are truly heroes, and we want to support, honor, and remember them!

About Jessica's Heroes Foundation, Inc.
Jessica’s Heroes Foundation was formed by an all-volunteer group of people whose mission is to help local cancer patients stress a little less about bills and focus their energies on their battle with cancer.
We founded our organization after the loss of our beloved family member and friend, Jessica Froelick. Jessica battled metastatic breast cancer for 7 years. She lost her hard-fought battle at the young age of 34. She was a loving wife and mother of 2 boys.
Jessica Froelick was an amazing inspiration, always fighting for others as she battled for her own health.
This Foundation is built on her beliefs, and inspiration to help. Sometimes people need a fridge full of food and gas to get to treatments and doctor appointments. Equally as important, patients just need guidance, someone to listen, or someone to let them know they are not alone.
Our goal is to raise monies to help cancer patients in Madison and Oneida counties and neighboring Central New York communities, with various un-covered personal financial expenses. Our biggest fundraiser is our annual 5K Run/Walk, held each September. Be a Hero and gather a few friends and co-workers and form a 5K team. You will have a great and rewarding time helping so many patients and their families battling cancer.

Our Inspiration and Mission
Jessica Froelick was an amazing inspiration, always fighting for others as she battled for her health. There are so many stories of how she would be in the hospital still helping the person beside her, finding resources for others as they felt they had no support. Jessica was always there, supporting them and sharing that there was hope and financial resources out there. And most of all that she and others care.
This Foundation is built on her beliefs, and inspiration to help. It is about the little things in life. Sometimes people just need guidance, someone to listen, or a fridge full of food.
Jessica's Heroes Foundation came together to foster a mission of honoring friends, family, neighbors, people of the community who have battled cancer bravely, and those currently in the fight. Our goal is to raise monies to help cancer patients in Oneida, NY and neighboring communities, with various un-covered personal financial expenses. These funds help cancer patients to stress a little less about everyday bills and focus their energies on getting better.
Because of Jessica's love for others this foundation was formed. The family and friends that are on the foundation board have witnessed the kindness in her heart and only wish to share that with others. She showed them how to be a hero, and now they want you to be a hero like Jess.
